Exercise in the Immortalization of Garden Vegetables I 8"x8" Acrylic on Canvas $35.00

Our power went out tonight, cancelling my plans to have an artist friend over to paint. I was delighted to be invited to her home where her lights were beaming but I had none of my supplies. She graciously offered her lettuce and "mature" tomato as a subject and let me help myself to her paints and canvas. The result of our enjoyable evening was this little vegetable study. Lettuce is complex to paint but green is my favourite colour. Now that it has been immortalized on canvas, Tamara's hungry guinea pig can finally eat the lettuce!
